The Softer Hour is a guide to alcohol-free evening drinks. Here's exactly how it makes money and who is behind it.
Affiliate links
We earn a commission when you buy through our links to Botanical Brewing Co. (BBCo). BBCo is the only brand we link to with an affiliate link. The price you pay is the same. Product links on this site are marked rel="sponsored".
Who's behind the site
As a Botanical Brewing Co. affiliate, we earn a commission when you buy through our links. The site's owner works at Kava Culture, which operates kava bars and is a sister company of Botanical Brewing Co. (same ownership). That's why BBCo is the brand we recommend and link to. When a page says "Our pick", it means our pick from BBCo's lineup, not the result of an independent test of every brand. Other brands we mention are described from their own listings, and we don't earn anything from them.
What we don't do
- We don't accept payment for placements or reviews from other brands.
- We don't make health claims. Nothing on this site is medical advice. These drinks are for adults 21+, and every guide lists who should skip each plant.
- We don't invent ratings or statistics.
