Alcohol-free drinks for a movie night
A movie night in is one of the easiest nights to skip alcohol, as long as there's something good in the glass. Match the drink to the snacks.
Snack pairings by flavor
- Salty popcorn: something citrusy and fizzy, like sparkling lemonade or a citrus can.
- Chocolate: berry flavors, or a cold-brew-style decaf iced coffee.
- Candy: a soda-style float (below).
Single cans for adults (21+)
By flavor and format, from the brands' own listings: Leilo is a kava-only sparkling can (fruit and mocktail flavors, about $4.15). New Brew blends kava, kratom and tea (yuzu, mango, berry, guava). Botanical Brewing Co. has kava cans like Orange Dream (creamsicle) and Tutti Frutti (mixed fruit). If you're new, pick one plant and one can, and don't combine cans in the same night.
Prices, ingredients and flavors from each brand's own site and major retailers, checked September 2026. Brands change formulas, so check the can.
The sherbet float
A scoop of orange sherbet in a tall glass, topped slowly with a cold can of Tutti Frutti or Orange Dream. One can per float.
For a watch party
Make one pitcher for the room: lemonade, sliced strawberries and soda water. Keep any botanical cans separate and labeled.
The rules
