Kava only vs. kava plus kratom
Kava is the one people drink to unwind. Adding kratom changes the feel; people describe it as more upbeat and talkative. If you've never tried either plant, start with one at a time so you know what each does. Kava vs. kratom vs. kanna.
Flavors
Leilo's fruit flavors are lightly sweetened with cane sugar and stevia, and its sugar-free mocktail flavors (margarita, piña colada, Moscow mule) are named after bar drinks. New Brew sticks to fruit flavors with tea in the base.
Which to buy
- New to all of this, or kava only: Leilo.
- Already like kava and kratom together: New Brew.
- Want to try kava and kratom separately first: a variety pack of each, below.
Whichever you pick, don't mix it with alcohol.
Try them separately
Botanical Brewing Co. sells kava cans and leaf-brewed kratom elixirs as separate lines, which makes it easy to learn what each plant does on its own before you combine them.
Prices, ingredients and flavors from each brand's own site and major retailers, checked September 2026. Brands change formulas, so check the can.
